D you meditate?

i went to a seminar yesterday for work on how to manage stress.

the speaker was great...he is dr. mees, author of "wake up, america".. he stated how our diet, exercise, and meditation are very important for our own health.

he described the damage cocaine does to the heart muscles, which cannot be repaired and compared it to the damage stress does as well.

Totally happy in your marriage?

how many of you are totally, incredibly happy in your marriage?

how many of you feel that your spouse is your absolute soul mate and you couldn't even imagine your being married somebody else?

talking with the women at work, i'm surprised at how many are not totally happy.

Is it possible to fall out of love....and married?

i would like to know what your opinions are and i would really appreciate some input.. i have been re-married for two years, but along the way there has been some deep hurts, although no infidelity.

he claims that he loves me, but i do not feel the same way for him as i once did.

i was married to a verbally abusive husband for 11 yrs, and i'm wondering if maybe i just wasn't ready to remarry so soon, and the hurt my current husband has caused has rubbed some old wounds alittle too often.. he has done some emotionally hurtful things to me in which i don't really care to go further on right now, and this has caused me to distant myself from him.

Divided Households

i'm kind of new here...i don't post much, but i read the board almost daily.

i have a question that maybe some of you might be able to answer, or at least give me some suggestions.

i am divorced and have custody of 2 beautiful, well-behaved children, ages 9 & 6. their father is a jw and i have drifted away, so i could say i'm mostly out of the org.. when they are with me we do not go to meetings, but when they see their father every other wkend they go meetings with him and his wife, and sometimes to service.. i have read that many of you were brought up in a divided household where one parent is a jw and the other is not.

Daddy's Little Girl

i was feeling a bit nostalgic this morning in my way to work..and i guess i just feel like venting, so feel free to back out of this thread if you'd like.. i was raised as a jw since i was seven yrs.

i'm the only girl out of four kids.

we were the "ideal" witness family..my dad was an elder, mom stayed home and waited for us to get home from school, all of us kids pioneered and got to go to pioneer school.

i have lost tough with my best childhood friend.

we lived in east los angeles at the time, and we were both witnesses.

i don't know where she is now...she also goes by lillia melissa aguirre.
